This, combined with fine foods, live music, excellent silent auction selections, and a grand raffle, compliments the fifty to sixty home winemakers pouring their superb and exceptional home wines. Our Home Winemakers Classic, often referred to as the "Poor Man's Wine Auction", is affordable and a down-right fun home winemakers, wine tasting party. This year will find the 28th Home Winemakers Classic on the beautiful grounds of The Groezinger Estate located in the town of Yountville, just off Hwy. 29. Each year the Classic is attended by devoted locals and out-of-town wine lovers. Everyone comes, kicks back, strolls about, tastes wine, and enjoys delectable food provided by Vintage Estate Catering that satisfies the gourmet palate. There is the exceptional tasting of a number of varietal wines, and the judging of award-winning amateur wines on their way to loftier levels of outstanding awards. Live music will be performed by local performer, John Kelly & Friends. There will be a wide display of wines in the silent auction, both from the home winemakers and from other local wineries and businesses. Etched glasses, wine plates, and enticing raffle prizes round out the offering. The raffle prizes will include a $500 cash prize, a magnum of excellent wine from Paradigm winery, and one of the favorite prizes, a gourmet Barbeque dinner for four at Fire Chief, Gary Green's log home. This Napa Valley Favorite is California's premier cult wine event.
